Georgia Tech opens with balanced run game (AP)
The day after No. 16 Georgia Tech beat South Carolina State 41-10, Paul Johnson scoffed at less important numbers from the game. Johnson said Sunday he may be the only one who isn't worried that Joshua Nesbitt completed only one pass. Johnson sounded even less concerned that new starting running back Anthony Allen did not have big numbers in the opening win. |

Joshua Nesbitt made it easy to forget about the offensive stars Georgia Tech lost to the NFL. Nesbitt ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns, Roddy Jones added two scoring runs and No. 16 Georgia Tech beat South Carolina State 41-10 on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets lost some big names from last year's Atlantic Coast Conference championship team. |

Georgia Tech pushing Nesbitt for Heisman Trophy (AP)
Georgia Tech wants Heisman Trophy voters to know quarterback Joshua Nesbitt is the most interesting player in college football. Georgia Tech launched a website on Tuesday to promote Nesbitt as a Heisman candidate. Nesbitt wears a tuxedo on www.Nesbitt4Heisman.com as he spoofs the older, bearded star of the Dos Equis beer advertising campaign. |

Tech's Taylor making comeback from heart condition (AP)
Cooper Taylor said he feels even faster than two years ago, when he was Georgia Tech's fastest player. Perhaps the more important news is the 6-foot-4 Taylor also is bigger and stronger as he makes his comeback from a heart condition that required surgery and forced him to miss most of the 2009 season. |
